Our Community

Ewanagan village supports many local activities including football training, providing sports kit, and helping children to participate in drama festivals and sports tournaments in Narok County, Nairobi and national competitions. A new initiative is the Sekenani Primary School Medicinal Tree Nursery, aimed to educate children in the different uses of the trees and plants in their surroundings. The project is designed to raise funds for school fees and help the local community combat climate change by  planting trees to restore badly degraded land and create a more resilient ecosystem.

Today the village is home to a wide range of client-based activities including guided wildlife tours in the Maasai Mara national reserve, medicinal plant and bush walks, cultural tours, jewellery making, honey production, cultural songs and dances, homestays and warrior training.
